You May Now Worship Me is conceived and written by Tony nominee Dick Scanlan Thoroughly Modern Millie and Scott currently starring as Ursula in Disney's The Little Mermaid and directed by Tony winner Michael Mayer Spring Awakening, with musical direction by Tom Kitt High Fidelity.
Before taking on the role of the evil sea witch in The Little Mermaid, Scott received a Tony nomination for her performance in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and starred on Broadway in Aida, Tommy and Rent. Off-Broadway, she received an Obie and Lucille Lortel Award for her performance in Landscape of the Body and starred in The Last Five Years and Debbie Does Dallas. Other notable stage credits include Randy Newman's Faust and Kander & Ebb's Over and Over. With her husband, Kurt Deutsch, Scott co-founded Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records sh-k-boom.com which has produced more than 50 albums, earning five Grammy nominations and a 2006 Drama Desk Award for dedication to the preservation of musical theater through cast recordings.
